XPE mats

XPE belongs to PE materials and is a world-recognized environmental protection material! XPE mats don't absorb water because of its obturator foaming structure. In addition, they have the advantages including environmental protection, safety, antibacterial property, corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, flatness, lightweight and rich color expression, so the standard of the material production is quite high. Only a few domestic manufacturers produce crawling mats with XPE because the quality can not be certified, most of the materials need to be imported, the production process is complex and the entry threshold in the early stage is very high! There aren't many manufacturers use the materials made on their own to produce crawling mats. Real XPE baby mat costs a few hundred yuan for normal sizes, which is very expensive.

EPE mats

EPE (also known as pearl wool) is also a kind of PE material. Now almost all domestic PE floor mats are made from EPE material. The production technology of EPE mats is mature and the entry standard is low, so the price is also low. Most manufacturers mainly used EPE to make packing materials before producing crawling mats.

EPE pearl wool is a new kind of environmentally friendly foam material with high strength buffering and anti-seismic capability. It is flexible, light, and elastic, and can absorb and disperse external impact force through bending, so as to achieve the buffering effect and overcome the shortcomings like brittleness, deformation, and poor rebound resilience of ordinary polystyrene foam. At the same time, EPE has a series of superior service characteristics such as heat preservation, moisture resistance, heat insulation, sound insulation, friction resistance, aging resistance, and corrosion resistance.

XPE baby mats and EPE baby mats are composed of PE materials and plastic wrap with printed patterns. They are both non-toxic and odorless environmental protection materials and are commonly used for food packaging. The relationship between XPE baby mats and EPE baby mats is like that between hamburgers and Chinese hamburgers or bread and steamed buns. The white plastic net covers on the commonly seen fruit is the EPE material. At present, the first and second-tier cities are the main forces that use PE baby crawling mats.
